    Very good

I bought this for daily trips to the park in our neighborhood and to Lowe’s. II almost didn’t purchase it because of a review about the food and water cups being too loose. But the trick is to snap on the plastic hinged doors then slip the cups up under the doors. The hing on the doors keep them securely in place, and leaves no gaps around the openings.

    Wonderful little cage!

I love this cage! It's very sturdy and well-made. It's large enough to comfortably carry two currently co-housed birds together. I love how the feeders sit outside of the cage. This is a wonderful, very reasonably priced cage, great for traveling or emergency evacuation.

    Small East transport cage

Although received as ordered, I wasn't expecting to put the side gates over the feeder dishes. Figured them out, very hard to install and be careful, it's made of "plastic" so it'll crack if handled too hard. May switch to treat feeders so during transport I won't worry about the feeders falling off.

    Transport cage for small birds

Posted by Janet Edmonds on 6th Aug 2012

Saw this product and thought it might be just right for sitting in a box when moving show birds. Unfortunately, the feeding ports are big enough for a finch to escape unless you can attach the unattached doors (spring loaded) but they attach via plastic hooks and I can't get them on and I'm afraid I'll break them. Still working on that.
